'Trick or Treatin'

I am a few days behind but with this being the 6 weeks I feel like all I have done is look at my online gradebook or finish up my defensive driving. So I didn't forget about Halloween!! Cooper was the cutest little hunter! He wouldn't wear his original costume, it was a little too hot for him, but he did wear his camo and paint his own face and carry his gun and pheasant. And he actually cooperated way more than I thought he would! Usually he only does something if HE wants to and anything involving candy is scary because he drops everything when candy is around and only wants the candy. So naturally when we go to the door and someone hands him all of this candy he only wants to eat the candy and ALL OF IT! I had great help though from Donny, DeeDee and Dayme so Cooper did like a normal trick or treater and ate the first piece while Donny hid the rest! I think at the end of the night, Cooper had only had about 5 pieces of candy because we managed to hide it all pretty well without him knowing! Thanks Donny! Also we met up with Kenda and her kids, Makenlee and Braelyn, (Makenlee is Cooper's best friend and daycare) and we got some pretty cute pics of all three of the kids.

It was also Dane's birthday! Dane turned 26 this Halloween and had a great birthday. Thanks to everyone who got him something...he loved it all! We ended the night with a little party at Matt and Brendi's that was a lot of fun. Overall a great Halloween!

New 'Do!

I chopped my hair off! Six inches to be exact! WOW! It is quite an adjustment but I think I like it. I know I will miss my long hair but this is such a cute cut and will be way easy to fix so maybe I can sleep in a little longer now.....and the color looks really good so I feel like a brand new girl! And all my little students seem to like it...haha I had one boy tell me my hair looked cute so Cooper is not the only one that says cute!

We also got pumpkins the other day and Cooper had the best time picking them out. Jenna came and helped us and it is a good thing she was there because while I was picking out pumpkins her and Cooper were looking at every pumpkin there! And they saw a spider which she is not deathly afraid of so she was able to control herself and not jump and scream and run away!

Here are some pics of Cooper at the expensive pumpkin place....we didn't buy our pumpkins here but got some cute pictures!!

All is well in the Mullin's house...

We are finally all well. We had a pretty rough week last week but I feel like we got the stomach bug out of the way. Dane and I decided we get the stomach bug once every year so hopefully this was our "one" time for this year.

Cooper really amazes me every day. He went and stayed with his grandparents this weekend and Dane and I both think he grew over the weekend! His vocabulary is getting bigger by the day! We watch Wheel of Fortune every night and he repeats all the letters and then claps when the audience claps. It is so funny and fun to be around him. It is just crazy how much he understands and comprehends. I think I am actually ready for another baby but know this is not the best time and hopefully my sister-in-law will get on the ball so we can have another baby in the family!

Dane and I went to Lubbock and had a date which we haven't had in the longest time. We hung out with Cord most of the time and he is doing pretty good I guess. I just pray every day for him that he makes smart choices and stays in school! I don't think he realizes how many people are pulling for him! We also got to see Taylor and David's new house! It is so nice, even though it is still in the building stage. I am so excited for them and can't wait until they move in!

Dane is getting pretty busy with all the harvesting and school is in full swing with open house tomorrow night. I can't believe we have already gone through 6 weeks! Dane said yesterday on our way home from Lubbock that this was the happiest time of his life...haha....he says this a lot but really we couldn't be better!

Sick, sick, sick

Well you probably won't want to stop by our house and if you have in that past few days I am so sorry about what could lie ahead for you! Cooper got the stomach bug last Wednesday and he threw up three times in the night. The next day he was tired but good and he stayed with Dane all day. We knew the stomach bug was going around the daycare and figured he didn't need to add to their germs! So he stayed home Friday too and he and Cooper had fun. Well when I left school on Friday everyone told me that Dane and I would probably get the bug over the weekend. So of course I was scared all weekend but we ended up having a great weekend! We rode horses on Saturday (weird for me I know but tons of fun) and then Saturday night I won half the pot at the bar-b-que cook off (with papas help)! Then we spent a couple of hours at the neighbors house where Cooper got choked and threw up, gross, and we still made it to bed at a reasonable time! Then Sunday we layed around most of the day and I cleaned and disinfected our entire house from top to bottom! I thought we were in the clear for the stomach bug. We had made it through the weekend so surely if we were gonna get it we would have gotten it. Haha. Dane woke up sometime in the night Monday night throwing up, gross, and the other. He stayed home most of the day and Cooper and I went on to Floydada. I was paranoid all day. I can't tell you the amount of times I washed my hands and put hand sanitizer on! I was scared to go home, stayed late at school printing out work for my kids if I did happen to get sick, got home and cleaned the entire house again. Felt good all evening and even slept through the night. Woke up at 5:35 and didn't think I had it! I was pretty excited so I decided to sleep an extra 20 min and when I woke up the second time, ugh, it had hit me. How is that possible? Well long story short, Cooper has had it, Dane had it, Papa had it, and now I have it. I hope that is where it stops! Once again, so sorry if we have been around you and you catch it! It's not fun but does only last 24 hours!

My Favorite Time of Day

My favorite time of day is 3:40. Goodbye stress, goodbye annoying 7th graders, goodbye tiredness and hello Cooper! Walking in the daycare and seeing Cooper happy and playing and so excited for me to pick him up makes my day worth it! We tell everyone bye and of course he tells me he had a good day (we rarely have bad ones anymore!) and then we stop off at Dairy Queen for happy hour and head home. He is happy and watches his movie all they way home. Then usually we play outside or inside, maybe go visit Granny and Papa, check the crops with Daddy, make supper and we are all in bed by 9! Bedtime is actually my second favorite part of the day when Cooper doesn't stay up past his bedtime.....at Aunt Taylor's this weekend, Cooper got to stay up until 10:45 and it was not a pleasant experience getting into bed! But normally we are in bed by 9 and everything is great in our world, Cooper usually "jump on bed" for just a few minutes and then we say our prayer which Cooper now has memorized and we go to sleep. Crazy to say this but I almost like during the week better because of our routine and structure. Cooper has gotten so accustomed to this that weekends can be very bad if he doesn't get a nap or go to bed on time. So needless to say, our lives are getting easier (I actually found time to blog!!!) and I am really starting to enjoy school and certain periods of the day (I don't think I will ever enjoy 5th period) and my new teacher friends at school. I see now where being a working mom has its advantages (paycheck, friends, and a break from the hubby and child) and now (4 weeks into this) it's not so bad! Check back in come March and April (TAKS) and I will probably be ready to be a stay at home mom once again!!

Cooper turned 2!!!!!

Yay! Cooper had his second birthday! Where did two years go??? I hope we can put off kindergarten as long as possible!!! We had an amazing water party, thanks to Dayme, Donny, Papaw, Taylor, Dane, Grandmother, and DeeDee, but most of all Dayme! I couldn't have done it without them...they were such a big help from making cupcakes to setting up the "scene" outside....too bad it was just a family party because this would have been fun for kids of all ages!! He got tons of great toys and clothes and I thank everyone for all he got!!! The party ended about 7:30 and Cooper stayed wired until around 10 so of course that made Monday morning pretty tough! He was not a happy camper riding to Floydada! We did make it through our first day of school and he had a pretty good day at daycare. Yesterday was a little hard on me just because it was very chaotic. I have all my kids twice so second time around we didn't have much to do so of course they talked, loudly, and they got on my nerves and I was wishing I could just be at home with Cooper! But I made it through and today was so much better! I had enough planned to make them work until the bell rang so there was NO talking! The day flew by because we were working so hard and before I knew it I was picking up Cooper up at daycare. I went in knowing he had a good day and of course he didn't. He had a hard day and cried off and on the whole day. Mama B told him during nap time to quit crying or he would wake up the babies and of course he cried even louder. I am sure they were ready for him to leave today! I know it will get better but it just makes it that much harder on me!
Well only three more days to go this week....I hope I can make it!

I will add more pics!

Woohoo!

Cooper teeteed in the potty!!! Do I have an advanced kid or what?! Yes he still goes in his diaper but that is twice now that he has done something by himself in the potty! I am very excited! I hope it keeps going this smoothly. ONLY 2 more days until his birthday...oh my!

A Working Mom

So I now understand fully the guilt of a working mom. Taking Cooper to daycare is one of the hardest things I have had to do since becoming a mom. Hearing him scream and cry and then the throwing up.....well it has been a rough three days! Today was a little better...he didn't cry for quite as long and didn't throw up so I guess it was a good day! Hopefully he will be in the routine before too long! Dane has already been asking why I am working and says this will be my only year....he hasn't gotten a paycheck though so it might change after he sees how nice it is to have the extra money! I have been a bit overwhelmed with school but I think I will feel that way until we get started. I am very ready to get to know the kids and get in a routine...I really think the weeks will start flying by!

Cooper's birthday is this week and I sent out the invitations so now that everyone has seen them I thought I would post them on here. They were so cute! Hopefully everything will go smoothly for his second birthday! I can't believe he is already 2!

So I couldn't get the picture to work right....I don't know what's going on with this thing but there it is!

Busy, Busy, Busy....

We have been way too busy! You can definitely tell school is about to start because ever since we got back from Curacao we have not sat down! Dane has been working hard farming and getting ready for the Briscoe Co. Celebration and I have been at workshops or working on my classroom ever since we got back to Texas! Our vacation was amazing and we all had such a great time! The island was beautiful but I missed Cooper WAY too much and was excited to get back home. The next day I was off to workshops to become prepared with being a new teacher at FJH! So needless to say I have had absolutely no time to blog! Kathy said she was kicking me out of the blogging world because its been so long! So I will try to be better and devote a little more time to this....
This past weekend was the big celebration...we had a great time and Dane rode a tractor in the parade. Cooper was supposed to ride with Dane but Dane did not think it was the safest thing since the tractor was so small and hard to drive (and we were running a little behind anyway). We enjoyed watching Dane though....he looked so good driving that CASE!!! Then we took Cooper to the rodeo and he had a ton of fun watching the horses and bulls. Hopefully in a year or two he can compete in the muttin bustin!
We also had something really great happen today. We got to sleep in until 11 first of all, which was so nice because we were all so worn out and Taylor stayed and hung out with us most of the day. She also took Cooper to see Andma and I am pretty sure they had a good visit. Then, about 20 minutes after Taylor left Cooper started saying "poopy". And for those of you who know Cooper, he continues to say this word like a broken record, over and over. So I start thinking maybe we should just go set him on the potty and see what happens. Maybe he really does have to "poopy". So Dane takes him because I think it is a false alarm and a few minutes later Dane calls me in the bathroom. Cooper actually did poopy in the potty!!! There are 3 year olds that don't poopy in the potty!!! Dane and I were so excited which made Cooper excited so for the next hour he kept wanting to go poopy in the potty (which of course he really did not have to go). I hate to jump the gun but maybe this potty training experience will not be so horrible....I will keep my fingers crossed!
Tomorrow is Cooper's first day of daycare. I am really nervous and dreading it so bad but I know it's a great place and he will make tons of friends! I will for sure provide an update with how our first day goes! Until then.....

Potty Training!!

Well I guess potty training has sort of begun. I say sort of because I am not really pushing it but if the opportunity arises we take it! This morning, Cooper's diaper was very full so I took it off of him and went to go get him a new diaper. As I started walking out of the room I heard him start teeteeing on the the floor. So I swooped him up and we ran to the bathroom. I sat him on the toilet and I guess he had stage fright because he could not go. It was so funny because he was pushing and trying so hard! So I got him off the toilet and stood him in the bathtub. I was really just giving up and going to get a diaper and figured if he did start again he would at least be in the bathtub. I stood there and watched him for a second to see if he was going to do anything when he said, Go Away Mama! Haha I guess he did have some stage fright because when I left I could hear him going! So now maybe we are on the path to getting potty trained! I have heard so many horror stories about starting too early and then them getting scared and not being potty trained until like 4 or 5! So we won't push it and we'll see what happens!

New Recipe

Hey Dayme I got a new recipe for you! Way easy and fast......

2 cans of chicken
2 cups of hot sauce (any kind)
2 cups of corn or 2 cans of drained corn
packet of taco seasoning
cheese
corn tortillas

Mix chicken, corn, hot sauce, and taco seasoning.
Tear corn tortillas in half and layer the bottom of pan. Layer with half of the chicken mixture and cheese, then tortillas, chicken, and top with cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min at 350! So good and a little spicy!

Cooper's 4th of July

Well we didn't get to have much of a 4th of July due to the flood that came through Rotan! They had to cancle the fireworks show and it poured from about 8 p.m. until the next morning! Cooper was sad but we did get some sparklers so we lit those two nights ago and he had a ball. He absolutely loves fireworks! I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing!! We also got to see some really good fireworks at TEXAS! the other night. TEXAS! is a musical that is put on in the Palo Duro Canyon. We had to lie to Dane and tell him that it was a laser show just so he would go because he HATES musicals. Haha he did end up enjoying himself though. Cooper said through the entire show that lasted 3 hours!! He did so good! So here are some pics from Cooper's 4th of July and TEXAS!

And here is Texas!.....there were about 21 of us that went to see it! And it was sooo hot so we didn't get to many pictures...

Painting....

I have been painting my hallway a turquoise color that Taylor picked out. At first I was a little scared when I got it on the walls but now it is really growing on me and I think it looks really good! I am glad I went with Taylor's choice!! Now if I could just get the rest of the house painted! And they will be neutral colors....I had to promise Dane :(.....

Summer Nights

I absolutely love summertime and sitting outside during the evenings! Cooper also loves it and would be outside all day even though it has been 105 degrees all week! That doesn't seem to bother him but I can't stand the heat so we wait until it cools off! I got some pretty cute pictures of him playing in the yard and his poor diaper was so full it was about to fall off of him! I am a horrible mom but it was soooo funny so I had to snap some pics!

And here he is showing me his teeth! Kind of a scary face!

I also got some pictures of the cotton...it is looking good!!!

And these are squares....You can't really tell in the pictures but they are there and that is a good sign! Granny said a square by the 4th of July was a good sign of good cotton! Haha....

Good News and Bad News....

Well the good news is it rained without hailing on our little cotton crop! It pretty much rained all day yesterday with some pretty good storms but Tarran, Shandy and I were able to catch some rays at the pool. We really only got to lay out about 1 hour before a storm blew in but I still managed to get a little red, yay! And, believe it or not, I started Twilight! I am not a reader at all, I mean I kind of always wanted to be more of a reader but could never find the time with little Coop around but everyone insisted that I try this book and yes, I am already hooked and can't wait to start reading again! Cooper had a great weekend......he got to see DeeDee, Grandmother, and Dayme which was a ton of fun for him because he got to show off his new tricks! Yesterday he got to haul cows and ride in the tractor with Daddy and even got to ride around with Papa! I think Coop would have fun wherever he was! Even at TayTay's where he dropped her remotes in water, again! Fun for him but not so much for TayTay (we are really sorry about that!).
So now the bad news......Molly is gone :(.....Dane left her a few days ago out kind of in the country and I kept thinking she would come back but she still hasn't.....Cooper and I are sad but Dane is not heartbroken....he said we could get another one when we had a fence in our backyard.

Some more good and bad news.....Grandad underwent quadruple bypass surgery last wednesday but made it through and is still in CCCU but making progress even though it is very slow progress. He is one of the greatest I have ever known and he is so incredibly strong to fight through all of this! We have all prayed so hard for him over this last week and know that prayers have been working because he is still with us today. Only He knows what's in store for us so I just pray for everyone who has spent hours at the hospital because this is not the end and there is a long road of recovery ahead but I know Grandad can do it! I love you all and continue to pray and ask for everyone's prayers as they endure this hardship.

Blogging...

Oh my gosh I have been on this thing all morning! The only thing I got accomplished was 20 different backgrounds, finally settling on the one that's on there, and some cute sidebar stuff and a huge headache! I will actually try to write something interesting later!

Summer School....

I am teaching summer school :(. I would have never thought I would be doing this but it is from 8 to 12 so only four hours and only 19 days left! I am extremely bored but the kids are pretty good and we all have laptops so I basically just sit on my computer while they do computer activities. I did actually teach for an hour this morning so it made the morning go by a little faster! Also, I may be teaching 7th grade math now. Mac called me into his office on Friday and said they may cut the 6th grade reading and not hire anymore teachers which would move me to 7th grade math. That is what I am actually certified in so it works for me!

This weekend was another busy weekend...Taylor and Donny came to see us and it was Cord's birthday. He is finally 18! I can't believe he is 18...I feel like he should still be 11. He was excited though and at midnight on the 6th he went and bought a lottery ticket...haha! I am really gonna miss him when he moves off to college :(......
Donny cut Cooper's hair on Sunday! I know DeeAnn and Dayme will not be happy but Dane figured he was getting hot.....or fleas from petting our new dog! Cooper looks cute though and it actually makes him look older and now he won't get to hot and it will always grow back! So back to the dog, yes we have a dog now! The other night it was storming pretty good and we heard a whimpering at our door. There was a Hank look alike that was soooo skinny and my heart just melted. I made Dane feed her and give her some water and we let her sleep in the garage that night. Then Dane took her with him to work all the next day and she ended up being such a sweet dog! I really do love her and Taylor and David want to breed her with Hank and have puppies so I hope we can do that! They will be so cute! We named her Molly....after many other name choices, but Molly was the one that stuck and the one that Cooper kept saying after he figured out she was not Hank! I don't have pictures yet but will take some soon and post them. Cooper just loves her and gives her hugs and Molly does so good with him! Who would have thought I would like a stray dog this much!

The Weekend and Cooper on the Farm....

We had a very busy weekend, suprise surprise! We got Cordo graduated (yay!), did a little planning on Taylor's wedding, got Kathy her very own blog (now if she can only figure it out!), got Cam and Mimmi's hot tub going, had Donny, DeeDee, and Dayme come stay with us, and then topped it all off with going to Lubbock on Sunday to celebrate Donny's 50th birthday! It was a great weekend spent with family so it really couldn't get any better! We ended up eating at Rockfish and it turned out to be really good! I don't think Taylor thought so but then after eating, Dane, Cooper, David, Taylor, and I all went out for ice cream which was delicious! I LOVE ice cream and wish I could eat it all the time!

The graduate....isn't he handsome!
Then yesterday, Cooper and I went and helped Dane on the farm! And yes I mean really helped....I drove a forklift with a trailer attached into the barn! I felt very productive and then I got some really cute pics of Cooper in his diaper playing in the dirt. He did start out in clothes but then had a little accident so we decided he could just stip down! He got soooo dirty but was soo cute! Then we picked Cordo up (he was plowing and putting out fertilizer) and headed over to Swisher Co. to do a little more work, where I got some more pics, and then finally headed home, in the rain! It rained 1 1/2 inches!!!!! We were so excited and everyone needed it so bad and we are supposed to be getting more rain so keep your fingers crossed!

David and Taylor's Engagement Party

I am finally getting the chance to write about David and Taylor's engagement party! They got engaged May 17th and then we had a party for them that following Tuesday here at the house. Yes our house is tiny but the party went great and Taylor's ring looked beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with Davy's selection! Donny, DeeAnn, Grandmother, Grandad, Granny, Papa, Andma, mom, Cam, Missy, Shandy, Payte, Yance, Cord, Dane, Cooper and I were all able to be here and celebrate with David and Taylor. We cooked out hamburgers and had fruit, chips and baked beans and DeeAnn brought our favorite chocolate cake.
I am so extremely happy for Taylor and David and can't wait to start planning this wedding! I know they are both so excited and they looked so happy and in love at the party! I don't think either one of them stopped smiling! I wish nothing but the best for them and feel so lucky to have Davy as a brother-in-law, twice!
The flowers we got for the party turned out really cute and took about 15 minutes!

My Little Daredevil

Do other two year old boys have legs that look scratched, bruised, and scabby? I sure hope so because Cooper jumps off of everything, falls down from running too fast on rocks, tries to crawl on things he shouldn't be crawling on.....anything that seems scary for a two year old he is doing it! When he was a little younger, he was soooo cautious and would not try anything and now he will jump out of the pickup! A minute ago he was riding his four-wheeler backwards! I sure hope he does not stay with this trend because I think I might have a heart attack!

"Terrible Two's"

Well they have hit! With full force the terrible two's have hit, hard. Cooper is 3 months away from being two and when people say terrible two's they mean terrible. He will be so great one minute and then the second he does not get what he wants, he throws a knock-down, drag-out, fit! Rolling on the floor, kicking and screaming!
So yesterday, Dane got home from work and Cooper had already been in trouble about 30 times and I think he wanted to go outside, I am not even sure what he did to throw this fit but anyway Dane decided he would send Cooper to his room since he was throwing this fit. Well Cooper has this new scream that he does that sounds just awful so while he was in his room with the door shut he was screaming so Dane and I peeked through the door to watch him.....well bless his little heart he was sooo upset and just cried and screamed and hit the bed and rolled on his stomach....just threw a good fit! So I of course felt bad and he had only been in there about 1 minute so we go in there and he tries to calm down and Dane says, "I wonder where he gets his temper?" Hmmmmmm, I wonder??? After I pick him up, he can barely catch his breath and you would think this would be the last fit, since he had to go to his room and all, but no! Exact same thing happened about 30 minutes later when he wanted to go outside after we had been sitting outside and he decided to go in! And everyone says it just gets worse......I hope this does not scare any of you mom's to be, they do have their sweet moments and hopefully this is all just a phase!

Visting TayTay

Well we are in Lubbock this weekend for my Graduation!! Yay!  Cooper, Shandy, and I decided to come up a little early (Thursday) and stay with Taylor.  It was a great idea because we have been relaxing and Cooper is loving it!  We took him to the pool yesterday, which by the way it was 99 degrees here, and he was not sure about it at first.  He finally warmed up to it and would stand on the first step.  He liked sitting on the side with his feet in much better but I kind of understand why he was apprehensive about getting in...the water was freezing!  After our pool trip, we came back and TayTay made burritos for us and a single Mac N Cheese for Cooper which she spilled all over the floor.  She wanted him to eat it off the floor but then made him another one....what a nice aunt!

Cooper got to watch cartoons with TayTay and Shandy this morning while I got my nails done and they informed me that he could speak martian!  I still have not heard it but supposedly one of his cartoons taught them how to speak martian....I don't know!  He really does get funnier every day with his new tricks and words!  I absolutely love this age!  We are headed out now to do a little shopping...hope Cooper enjoys this part of our visit!

Cord's Senior Pictures

So Cord had his Senior pictures done last week and of course I had to throw Cooper in some of them. He looks so cute in all of them I swear he should be a model! Cord's turned out good too so if anyone wants to check them out go to www.tinacarsonphotography.com and then "enter site", click on proofing, and the password is griffin.

Cooper has been staying with his grandparents all weekend and I am really starting to miss him!! Dayme and I were able to get some shopping done in Lubbock yesterday and then we headed over to Lamesa to see one of her friend's house. It was soooo cute and made me really ready for a house of my own to decorate and make cute! After I got back from Lubbock, I met Dane down at Bob Will's and it was an experience in itself! Fun for Dane and right up his alley!

Little Cowboys?!

Cooper got to ride his first horse this weekend! Cam's cows had gotten out so Dane, Cord, Yance and Cam saddled up to move them back to the field they were supposed to be in. (Missy, Cooper and I drove the pickup and blocked the road.) Well it all went very smoothly and so on the way back to the pickup Dane let Cooper ride with him on his horse! They rode about a mile and Cooper LOVED it! He could not stop smiling and waving at Missy and I. It was so cute and now all Cooper says is horsey! Dane was secretly hoping the cows would be out again on Sunday so they could all go ride again but they were still right where they were supposed to be. I guess Dane is liking the cowboy way up here!

So this weekend was a fun and exciting one for Dane and Cooper and yesterday was so nice we sat outside most of the afternoon and cooked out. Cooper got to play with our neighbor Kooper for a little bit and I am thinking it is about time to get Cooper a sand box. He did not want to leave Kooper's sand box!

And I signed my contract on Friday with Floydada and I will be teaching 6th grade reading. They separated English and reading so I will only be doing reading which I think will be good! Four classes of 6th grade reading and then helping out with 6th grade English for a period so I will hopefully have a pretty easy day if the kids are not too bad!

Bubble Bath and Rain!

Cooper had his first bubble bath tonight and he loved it! He kept trying to pick the bubbles up and hand them to me! He would get so excited and splash which of course made bubbles and water go everywhere. We had quite a mess going on in the bathroom.

We have had bath weather all afternoon and as soon as Dane got home, he and Cord had to turn back around and take a cow to the doctor. It is storming pretty good now and Cooper is already asleep (it is 7:45!) We are under a tornado watch so I hope it does not turn into anything more severe!! But it is raining so that is a good thing!

Haha! Taylor got those pants for Cooper! And I am pretty sure that was all that was clean!

So today was quite an eventful day! I got off to school and Cooper went with Dane and when we met back for lunch, Cooper and Dane's shoes were covered in mud. They had been fixing leaks so Dane was really busy. Dane had said he would be ok with Cooper until I got out of school but that was not the case and so without asking me he dropped Cooper off with Anna. Now if I had met Anna before and maybe Anna had a little warning that she would be keeping Cooper it probably would have been ok but he had never seen her so he cried and cried when Dane left him and cried so hard he threw up! Well I felt very bad about this so I left school early and went and got Cooper. It ended up kind of working out that Cooper went over there because I got to leave school and go play with Cooper! Anyway, by the time I picked him up, he loved Anna and her little girl and cried when I made him leave. So who knows, Anna could be one of Cooper's new babysitters and she was really nice!

So then after I gave Cooper a bath, we decided we better go buy groceries. Well I have about decided that going anywhere alone with Cooper at this age is going to be hard and eventful and it was. Everytime I turned around to grab something off of the shelf, he was standing in the seat of the basket! Then he would try to pull things off of the shelf if I got too close! And everytime I put something in the basket, he wanted a bite. He sounded like those birds on Finding Nemo saying bite, bite, bite every five seconds! So by the time I got in line to check out, Cooper had taken a bite of just about everything in our basket!

Then by the time we finally got home things calmed down and the boys played and watched tv while I did laundry. Honestly, I felt like the day would never end!

And Taylor, the Juevos Rancheros were so good! I really think David would like them! You just pile all of that stuff on the tortilla, then drizzle the sauce over it and top with cheese. You have to do this to every one so it takes a second but then after you have all done you stick them in the oven (on a cookie sheet) and let them cook for about 10 or 15 minutes so the cheese is good and melted and then just eat them with a fork. It was kind of a hard meal just because there is a lot going on but it was so good!

It's Official!

Well it is official. I will be teaching 6th grade English/Language Arts which I know nothing about! Hopefully I am smarter than a 6th grader when it comes to English but I don't know....I could not even remember what prepositional phrases were today when someone asked me for help on their English! Oh well, only a year and then maybe I can stay home and raise kids!! And that, by the way, is so much fun! Cooper and I had such a good day yesterday and we played and I got so much done around the house and now all I can do is pray next year when Dane takes him because who knows the kind of things they will get into!

I added this video of Cooper playing with a crate....it is so funny! (well we thought it was anyway!) And he played with it forever too......

And then his wheel came off of his dump truck and he knew exactly how to put it on....so smart!!

If you need an idea for supper, I got a new recipe at school today called Juevos Rancheros.....you will need: softened corn tortilla (soften in oil), refried beans, hash brown potatoes, hamburger meat, green chili enchilada sauce, egg cooked any way, and grated cheese. You stack all of this on your corn tortillas and then cook under broiler until cheese melts....I am trying this tonight for supper so hopefully it turns out good!

The "Real" Hunt

Easter weekend was so much fun and very exhausting. I think we went to bed at 8:45 last night and I did not even have school today! Cooper had a blast seeing eveyone and getting to entertain eveyone all weekend! Aunt Dayme brought Cooper some REAL, LIVE chickens! Cooper was a little skeptical at first but by Sunday was pretty interested in checking them out. I think Taylor loved them the most. She let them sleep beside her for two nights while they chirped and scratched. We ended up bringing two home which did survive the night and then Dane gave them to someone who could raise them and take care of them, Jose.

Our little family pic..

Cooper and the chicks....

What a beautiful family!!!

The easter egg hunt went okay but Cooper was very preoccupied with little chickens and people everywhere and it was extremely windy! I am talking gusts up to 60mph! So that part was not fun!
He was excited to eat the candy in the eggs but would not carry his basket around and Dane pretty much had to take the eggs to Cooper. But I will say throughout the entire day he was the cutest little boy. His outfit was perfect but got so dirty!

Dane taking Cooper more eggs...

And Cooper on the way home......
