Good News and Bad News....

Well the good news is it rained without hailing on our little cotton crop! It pretty much rained all day yesterday with some pretty good storms but Tarran, Shandy and I were able to catch some rays at the pool. We really only got to lay out about 1 hour before a storm blew in but I still managed to get a little red, yay! And, believe it or not, I started Twilight! I am not a reader at all, I mean I kind of always wanted to be more of a reader but could never find the time with little Coop around but everyone insisted that I try this book and yes, I am already hooked and can't wait to start reading again! Cooper had a great weekend......he got to see DeeDee, Grandmother, and Dayme which was a ton of fun for him because he got to show off his new tricks! Yesterday he got to haul cows and ride in the tractor with Daddy and even got to ride around with Papa! I think Coop would have fun wherever he was! Even at TayTay's where he dropped her remotes in water, again! Fun for him but not so much for TayTay (we are really sorry about that!).
So now the bad news......Molly is gone :(.....Dane left her a few days ago out kind of in the country and I kept thinking she would come back but she still hasn't.....Cooper and I are sad but Dane is not heartbroken....he said we could get another one when we had a fence in our backyard.

Some more good and bad news.....Grandad underwent quadruple bypass surgery last wednesday but made it through and is still in CCCU but making progress even though it is very slow progress. He is one of the greatest I have ever known and he is so incredibly strong to fight through all of this! We have all prayed so hard for him over this last week and know that prayers have been working because he is still with us today. Only He knows what's in store for us so I just pray for everyone who has spent hours at the hospital because this is not the end and there is a long road of recovery ahead but I know Grandad can do it! I love you all and continue to pray and ask for everyone's prayers as they endure this hardship.

Blogging...

Oh my gosh I have been on this thing all morning! The only thing I got accomplished was 20 different backgrounds, finally settling on the one that's on there, and some cute sidebar stuff and a huge headache! I will actually try to write something interesting later!

Summer School....

I am teaching summer school :(. I would have never thought I would be doing this but it is from 8 to 12 so only four hours and only 19 days left! I am extremely bored but the kids are pretty good and we all have laptops so I basically just sit on my computer while they do computer activities. I did actually teach for an hour this morning so it made the morning go by a little faster! Also, I may be teaching 7th grade math now. Mac called me into his office on Friday and said they may cut the 6th grade reading and not hire anymore teachers which would move me to 7th grade math. That is what I am actually certified in so it works for me!

This weekend was another busy weekend...Taylor and Donny came to see us and it was Cord's birthday. He is finally 18! I can't believe he is 18...I feel like he should still be 11. He was excited though and at midnight on the 6th he went and bought a lottery ticket...haha! I am really gonna miss him when he moves off to college :(......
Donny cut Cooper's hair on Sunday! I know DeeAnn and Dayme will not be happy but Dane figured he was getting hot.....or fleas from petting our new dog! Cooper looks cute though and it actually makes him look older and now he won't get to hot and it will always grow back! So back to the dog, yes we have a dog now! The other night it was storming pretty good and we heard a whimpering at our door. There was a Hank look alike that was soooo skinny and my heart just melted. I made Dane feed her and give her some water and we let her sleep in the garage that night. Then Dane took her with him to work all the next day and she ended up being such a sweet dog! I really do love her and Taylor and David want to breed her with Hank and have puppies so I hope we can do that! They will be so cute! We named her Molly....after many other name choices, but Molly was the one that stuck and the one that Cooper kept saying after he figured out she was not Hank! I don't have pictures yet but will take some soon and post them. Cooper just loves her and gives her hugs and Molly does so good with him! Who would have thought I would like a stray dog this much!

The Weekend and Cooper on the Farm....

We had a very busy weekend, suprise surprise! We got Cordo graduated (yay!), did a little planning on Taylor's wedding, got Kathy her very own blog (now if she can only figure it out!), got Cam and Mimmi's hot tub going, had Donny, DeeDee, and Dayme come stay with us, and then topped it all off with going to Lubbock on Sunday to celebrate Donny's 50th birthday! It was a great weekend spent with family so it really couldn't get any better! We ended up eating at Rockfish and it turned out to be really good! I don't think Taylor thought so but then after eating, Dane, Cooper, David, Taylor, and I all went out for ice cream which was delicious! I LOVE ice cream and wish I could eat it all the time!

The graduate....isn't he handsome!
Then yesterday, Cooper and I went and helped Dane on the farm! And yes I mean really helped....I drove a forklift with a trailer attached into the barn! I felt very productive and then I got some really cute pics of Cooper in his diaper playing in the dirt. He did start out in clothes but then had a little accident so we decided he could just stip down! He got soooo dirty but was soo cute! Then we picked Cordo up (he was plowing and putting out fertilizer) and headed over to Swisher Co. to do a little more work, where I got some more pics, and then finally headed home, in the rain! It rained 1 1/2 inches!!!!! We were so excited and everyone needed it so bad and we are supposed to be getting more rain so keep your fingers crossed!

David and Taylor's Engagement Party

I am finally getting the chance to write about David and Taylor's engagement party! They got engaged May 17th and then we had a party for them that following Tuesday here at the house. Yes our house is tiny but the party went great and Taylor's ring looked beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with Davy's selection! Donny, DeeAnn, Grandmother, Grandad, Granny, Papa, Andma, mom, Cam, Missy, Shandy, Payte, Yance, Cord, Dane, Cooper and I were all able to be here and celebrate with David and Taylor. We cooked out hamburgers and had fruit, chips and baked beans and DeeAnn brought our favorite chocolate cake.
I am so extremely happy for Taylor and David and can't wait to start planning this wedding! I know they are both so excited and they looked so happy and in love at the party! I don't think either one of them stopped smiling! I wish nothing but the best for them and feel so lucky to have Davy as a brother-in-law, twice!
The flowers we got for the party turned out really cute and took about 15 minutes!

My Little Daredevil

Do other two year old boys have legs that look scratched, bruised, and scabby? I sure hope so because Cooper jumps off of everything, falls down from running too fast on rocks, tries to crawl on things he shouldn't be crawling on.....anything that seems scary for a two year old he is doing it! When he was a little younger, he was soooo cautious and would not try anything and now he will jump out of the pickup! A minute ago he was riding his four-wheeler backwards! I sure hope he does not stay with this trend because I think I might have a heart attack!
